When was the last time
you told your loved ones how much you truly loved them?
When two-year old Emerald Hickman loses her loving parents to a
tragic automobile accident, her caring aunt moves quickly to care for her, adopt her and
subsequently keep her from going to the care of the State.
Little "Amy," as she comes to be called by her new
family and friends, finds laughter and peace in her new home -- quickly forgetting the
tragedy she endured at such a young age, as well as the loss of her biological parents.
Tranquility is short-lived, however, when political bureaucracy
threatens Amy's relationship with her new family.
In the end, Amy's new family will have to call forth its deepest
convictions and put them on the line -- asking itself just how far it's willing to go for
the well being of an innocent little girl.
